Research Corner
The Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit and Dermatology Research Team are blazing through with productivity this year! We have enrolled subjects with bullous pemphigoid and ichthyosis in ARGX and TIMBER trials, respectively. Our research team is actively recruiting interested patients with atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis, and bullous pemphigoid.
Potential new studies are upcoming in the new year for notalgia paresthetica, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, and epidermolysis bullosa.
We are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen as the first authors to present our initial findings from the TIMBER ichthyosis study at the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance in Atlanta, GA, in November 2023. Additionally, our Dermatology Research Team will be presenting our latest findings on atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata studies, funded by Pfizer, as first authors at the prestigious International Inflammatory Skin Disease Summit in Vienna, Austria, also in November 2023.
Our department plans to seek additional clinical and translational research funding and grow our research enterprise to support our three-part mission of healthcare, research, and education.
